I just wanted to do a quick update even though there isn’t much to say. It’ll be another photo update since I’m tired and have a Catan game to attend to!
Solo quería hacer una actualización aunque no hay mucho que decir. Va a ser otra actualización de las fotos porque estoy cansada y necesito jugar un juego de Catan.
Being back in Costa Rica for a second year has been soooo much easier than year 1! It was really nice to come back to school and not have to be figuring out all the things in my life. I didn’t feel as stressed during the first couple of weeks because I wasn’t trying to balance a new job and a new life all at once. This has definitely made me feel much more at home here in Costa Rica; now things just kinda feel normal, ya know? I guess that’s why I haven’t blogged at all since I got back!
Es mucho más fácil para estar en costa rica por mi segundo año. Fue muy genial para volver a trabajo y ya entiendo vida en costa rica. No tengo que pensar mucho sobre cosas como mis cuentas, el idioma, etc. No me siento mal en estas semanas porque no he tratado de manejar trabajo nuevo y una vida nueva al mismo tiempo. Definitivamente estoy más cómoda, y costa rica ya es como mi hogar. Cosas son más normales ahora, saben? Supongo por eso no he escrito nada desde me volví.

I was very happy to be home, and even more happy that my herbs survived! / Estaba muy feliz para estar en casa, y estaba más feliz que mis hierbas sobrevivieron!
We are still trying to cook more. Chili was the first meal we made one we returned. / Todavía estamos tratando cocinar más. Primero cocinamos chili.
I really missed pinto when I was gone, and I was extremely excited to eat it again. / Le extrañe gallo pinto mucho cuando era fuera de costa rica, y estaba muy emocionada cuando podía comerlo de nuevo.
One goal this year at school is to be more organized. / Un objeto en trabajo este año es para ser mas organizado.

I finally got to Puerto Viejo (on the Caribbean side). This was our house. / Finalmente fui al Puerto Viejo (está en el caribe). Esta fue nuestra casa.
The beach on the Caribbean is beautiful! / ¡La playa en el caribe es bonito!
I tried a Churchill but didn’t like it. It was too sweet. / Yo traté un Churchill pero no me gustó. Fue demasiado dulce.
The seniors like to be comfortable when they work! / a los seniors les gusta estar cómodo cuando hacen la tarea.
I still love the dry-erase desks. The juniors used them for literary analysis. / Todavía me encanta los escritorios dry-erase. Los juniors los usaron para análisis literario.
I have been keeping up with reading Harry Potter in Spanish. I make lots of flash cards for studying. I’m on page 70! / Todavía estoy leyendo Harry Potter en español. Hago muchas cartas para estudiar. Estoy en página 70!
We went to another soccer game at the national stadium. We played Panama and won! / Fuimos otro partido de fútbol en el estadio nacional.¡Jugamos contra Panama y ganamos!
Pod, Chelsea, and I tried to go to a free concert after a food truck festival, but we got a little rained out. / Pod, Chelsea, y yo tratamos de ir a un concierto gratis después de un festival de food trucks, pero había demasiado lluvia.
This past weekend we took a little day trip to Esterillos Oeste, a beautiful and tranquil beach! It was super chill and fun. / El fin pasado fuimos a esterillos oeste, una playa muy bonita y tranquila! Fue muy relajante y divertido.
Every Sunday we have been getting together and playing Catan. The caption is trademarked to Pod. / Cada domingo he jugado Catan juntos. La leyenda es la marca registrada de Pod.
Vale, eso es todo de mi vida in los meses pasados. Voy a terminar este post acá porque mi mente está cansada de pensando y escribiendo en español. Espero que no hubiera hecho demasiado errores. Estoy segura que la conjugación de “hacer” en la última oración es incorrecta porque todavía no sé subjuntivo bien. Y yo sé que necesito el subjuntivo por allí. ¡Como sea!
